Goa is India’s smallest state, and considered by many to be the jewel in its crown. Located on the west coast of India in the region known as the Konkan, it is bounded by the Arabian Sea, and the states of Maharashtra and Karnataka. The Portuguese first arrived in Goa as merchants in the sixteenth century, and it remained under Portuguese rule until 1961, giving it a unique Indian-European flavour. Famed for its hedonistic hippy scene in the 1970’s, Goa has remained one of India’s best loved locations, and visitors flock to experience its amazing cuisine, unspoilt beaches and world class architecture.

KOKOindia has selected the beautiful regions of CANACONA in the south, and MANDREM in the north, as the focal points for our holidays and retreats. We have personally sourced a selection of boutique and specialist hotels, ranging from chic villas and eco-resorts to peaceful river hideaways. There is much more to Goa, however, than a laidback lifestyle and beautiful beaches - if you wish to explore the region’s rich cultural heritage, we will be happy to arrange a tailor made holiday that reflects your interests. We have a range of comfortable and stylish transport options to make the most of your holiday, from cabin cruisers to luxury seven seater cars.

An example itinerary of a two week holiday in Goa could include spending five days in north Goa staying in a fort or boutique eco-resort, followed by a couple of days in the capital city of Panjim. Here, you can take in Old Goa and a trip to a spice farm, with plenty of free time to wander the colonial streets in search of great shopping and dining. The rest of your trip could be spent soaking up the atmosphere of south Goa in a beautiful villa or deluxe beach hut.
